Woah.

The only reason I am blogging right now is just so that I can try to get rid of most of the pre-exam jitters before the big one over the next coming weeks. I have only just realised that I have a really big problem, I can't really study without sound/music around me and sound/music is the thing that is keeping me from progressing to the next page.

Anyways, I think I am going to study Geography today, don't ask me why. There's really not much left to study for Chemistry so I might as well try to refresh whatever memories I might have about Geography before the paper on Thursday. Since, it's kind of the only "study-able" subject for the first week.

4 weeks....... I am just hoping that the first week goes well enough, snow balling my self-confidence and bolstering my self-esteem to better tackle the later papers, which as of now I am especially worried about my Biology papers. *Sigh* I seriously need to get an A1 for Combined Sciences and that includes Biology. I need some serious divine intervention in that department.

I think it's just time for me to take a deep breath and soak everything up.

To think that the Science Practical Exams for my Chem and Bio is a scant 2 days away. Going to read up a lot on those two, especially Bio since of course, I don't want to get 3/15 again......

Didn't really do much today, tried doing Geography notes but I realised midway that most of the stuff I was writing down was really irrelevant and that I just needed to remember the digrams and examples....... From what I know, what I am lacking for my Geography is solid examples and elaborations, plus of course my rabid tendencies to beat around the bush haha.

Unlike SS of course, where my beating around the bush actually buys me time to make up more crap that remotely makes some kind of sense, in a totally abstract and crazy way haha.

Went for a run yesterday, two times around the neighbourhood, first time around, nothing but a few stitches here and there. But the second time I was running up, I just gassed out and was pretty much walking and dragging my battered and beaten body up. So much for my cardiovascular fitness. Plus, the benign headaches I get after any exercise pretty much made it impossible for me to enjoy myself immediately after the run.... Had a good nights sleep though

Gonna run again tomorrow, I am thinking maybe only 5 or 6 clicks tomorrow, I guess I had better tone down haha

Okay I just discovered a not so hidden gem

When I got the Orange Box last year, it came with something tucked away in a corner, not really since it was kind of IN MY FACE for exactly one year now. In the STEAM game list was an something I found today, with an unassuming name, Peggle Extreme.

(btw orange box came out exactly one year ago lulz omgomgomg)

The game's actually just a crazy as demo which has backgrounds of the games in the Orange Box, which is of course extremely appropriate and somewhat funny how the Heavy Weapons Guy screams "Oh NO!!" when you fail. heh heh

1 year has gone buy and I am still playing Team Fortress 2. My drug till Left 4 Dead comes out.

Okay.

I vaguely remember one of my cousins telling me when I was in Sec 2. All Marists will dislike the school up till the final days till we graduate and we will suddenly feel all our pent up feelings . I didn't understand why until recently.

What he said was totally spot on

Yesterday was the final official school day of my life as a student in Maris Stella High School. I may have been waiting for the day that I could cut off all my ties with this school since 2005 when I was still wearing shorts for my uniform.

But am I really now? Am I really feeling all the jubilation that I might have imagined I would have felt on that day as I thought I would be 4 years ago?

I do not know if it's just our school's culture or something, but it was most likely due to our senior batches that instilled into us that, Marists MUST not like Maris Stella High School. No matter what positive feelings we might have had towards the school, except for maybe a select few who show school spirit with utmost gusto, it was undoubtedly suppressed by what we perceived as mandatory. Having certain animosity towards the school and trying to look past it's good points and criticising it at every tiny opportunity.

Even now I may even want to "blame" my good feelings towards the school on that now that it was now all officially over it's finally lit the last signal fire towards the oncoming 'O' Levels.

But no

If not for all the interesting friends that can mostly likely only be able to be moulded in our unique environment and single-gender status
This negates the "No Girls" thing to a certain extent)

Insane and totally inane teachers like Mr Wong (and basically the entire humanities department) whose jokes would totally not work when females are around HAHA

The other side of teachers would definitely be Miss Jennifer Goh. Though her papers turn your hair white, she never fails to make Physics as direct and understandable as possible. Well, she will just fail you(r papers)

Sec 4D Class of 2008, basically it was an easy transition for me in Sec 3, since more or less more than a third of the class 2A followed me up to 3D, but still, more friends were made and we can really learn a lot from each and every one of us. Full of personality and individuality and humour. Maybe a little too much, the only thing we can tone down on would definitely be our slackiness HAHA

Lastly for me, would be NPCC, though sometimes I really felt like quitting in Sec 1, I just sucked it up and pushed on. The camps and the stupid jokes with my squadmates, hard to forget, like ever.

But I would definitely like to give a 2-sided view of my life in Maris Stella. Time to put some of my SS skills to use :D

I am pretty sure everyone around me knows that I don't really hate any of my teachers, just that I love to make fun of them. BUT. Everyone around me would also know that I hold certain hate and grudges against one particular teacher....... I do not know whether it's entirely warranted or not, but I have always had negative feelings towards her ever since last year and while she might not be taking us this year, the feelings fail to subside. But of course, by next year, I have to keep my grudges in check. Learn to forgive and forget. I must do that

Okay. Today

Woke up early today, standard time. 6 something. My parents fetched me over to the National Library where I would have been studying. Around 8 I got there (punctual I might add) and went to the study lounge where a certain goldfish realised that she it opens at 9..... And we were the first few people there...... In a silent.... Library (okay that's dumb). I need to make zombie stories out of this

Started at 8 outside the place before going in at 9. Met some of my friends from 4C there too by complete coincidence so our group took up and entire stretch of tables HAHA. Apparently, Marists were popping up everywhere in the National Library. Guess we were all feeling the breath of the encroaching demon.

Did quite a bit of work there, like 4 full (Paper 1 AND Paper 2s) Physics papers and 2 Maths Chapters from the textbooks. The Physics seemed kind of difficult, especially the XinMin Paper..... Until Keith and I realised that.... Their values were so totally off that a printing error must have happened..... Also the Data-Based set of notes which was nutty. The TKSS prelim 2 paper which I already did, which was strangely too easy, even turned up there, the question on the Eco thingymajiggy. THE ANSWER THEY GAVE US TODAY WAS SO WRONG! I have the TKSS answer softcopy thingy and they had my answer while the answer in out booklet was so off it wasn't even funny.

Went to Absolute Comics during lunch, looking for The Walking Dead Volume 3. Which was sold out.... And stock is coming tomorrow :D Only ONE book...... Which I already paid for of course :D

T'was the second last day of school.

It is kinda poetic that I would be late for the 2nd last day of school, now I would leave that for you to decipher haha.

Seriously though, was really tempted to not come to school today after seeing the agenda for the next 2 days yesterday. Only 2 periods of studying today, but I decided, what the hey, it's the last 2 days of official curriculum time that I would be spending in Maris Stella High School, might as well see it through and make the most out of it.

Plus, it's not as if I would be able to wake up to study anytime before 1 HAHA

Had mass in the morning for the Sec 4s, couldn't hear anything at all, the microphone was wonky, the speakers were either too soft to hear or too loud and distorted and the acoustics of an "open" TKLOW hall really killed everything whatever they were trying to put across. Appreciate their thoughts though. Religion is kind of lost on me.

After mass we had the workshop on sexuality. 2 days in a row. Wow. Spicing things up (not that kind of "spicy") was that lo' and behold, the teacher in charge of our class was the irrefutable and untiring Mr Kwok himself haha.

Discussed the customary say no 'ere and say no there stuff. Then came the quote and the top if this post...... And I have the feeling..... he really meant it 0.o

Prelim 2 ended last week, so following up, results were given out this week. Going through an analysis of my marks and papers now. Everything's back except for Bio Written Paper, which I already know how I fared hahahaahahahahahhaa

I can't believe I screwed up English this badly, while getting a B4 in my school is kind of a big deal. It sucks when you find out that people are actually doing a hell. Lot. Better

I need to sort my compositions out, getting an 18 is so so soooo unacceptable at this juncture.

This is really really bad.
I dropped from an A to a B3 :( I screwed up my Social Studies paper badly..... I did alright for SEQ but for some crappy reason wrote the wrong stuff for my SBQ...... And in a weird turn of events, my Geography has finally scored higher than my SS. Not that it was hard. Since my score for SS was 32/40 - . -

Star Wars Force Unleashed. Yeah......

It came out a few days back, haven't bought it yet. Remember, I still have the list of games that I am going to buy after the 'O' Levels. While SWFU is not exactly on the list, it looks quite alright despite the rather just "above-average" standards that have been the general consensus among most review sites. Normally, I WOULD actually buy it but, seeing as I am trying to keep the list as small and short as possible (economic reasons) I am not getting it haha.

However, something really piqued my interest and thrown my decision out of equilibrium. Usually, being an advocator of gameplay and everything being secondary, I stumbled upon a gem. That being the compilation of cutscenes of the game, easily found on Youtube. It seems really interesting when you see it this way haha, Darth Vadar getting owned is something we do not see everyday. It's scary

Oh yeah.

I bought The Walking Dead volume 1 :D. Kind of hard to find when I do not go to Wheelock or any of the Kinokuniyas around Singapore. Failed when I was at comic stores. Taken completely by surprise, while originally searching for Sandman, I chanced upon a little gem in the bottom shelf of the comic section in the lesser Borders (the one at Parkway lol).

Now the problem is., I can't seem to find volume 2 anywhere there :(

I bought it last Wednesday by the way, and I have gone exactly one week (minus a few hours if you want to be a time whore) without reading another volume. It really hurts....

I am trying to build up my collection of zombie memorabilia. I have 6 books on Zombies. The infamous Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z by Max Brooks. 3 Marvel Zombies and 1 volume of The Walking Dead. I guess I am gonna buy The Walking Dead volume 2 OR get Marvel Zombies vs the Army of Darkness. Hmmmmm. I pity my wallet

Got Civilizations IV and it's 2 expansion packs. Kind of a stand-in until I get Galactic Civilizations II. Obviously it rocks, kind of dipping my foot in to test the water. Inching my way up the difficulty levels. As of now, I have played and finished 6 games, seeing as each game averages out around 3 to 4 hours that's quite alot. and I am playing on Quick mode. Damn. My exams will suffer.

I was reading the papers in the afternoon before going of to school. By chance, I glanced across the Home section of the newspaper, something that I have never did as Home news was always filled with stuff that I was not concerned with.

Saturday. Woke up around 8 am. Slept. Woke up around 9 am. Dad fetched me to the MRT station, took MRT to Bugis.

I went to the library at like.... 10... Turns out, the place was already opened at 9 so the studying are was already filled up. Made a few calls, realised that the original plan was to study at Macdonald's lol.

Though I originally thought I was late, I was actually the earliest there. While eating breakfast SS came. Started doing maths, then Wan Ling came. Finished 4 A Maths paper from 10 to 3. 4 schools, 4 paper 1s and 4 paper 2s...... Need to increase the speed in which I do the papers since, not all questions were attempted due to syllabus change. Ate lunch at Mac too. Halfway through, studying kind of derailed HAHA.

Went to Kinokuniya and bought Marvel Zombies. Read finish the thing. Then went back up and bought Marvel Zombies 2 lol. As of now I have 3 out of 4 of the Marvel Zombies series, leaving only the one with the crossover with Evil Dead not bought. I didn't even plan to buy it lol. Original plan was to buy the 300 comic, then Marvel Zombies caught my eye. After several hot seconds of internal strife, picked up Marvel Zombies lol. 300 was kinda costly, nearing 50 dollars while each of the Zombie books cost around 24 only lol

Around 6, went off to Raffles City. Ate at some restaurant in Raffles hotel and spent the night at Fairmont hotel. Was waiting for the fireworks to start and we had an (almost) opposite view of what I think was a fireworks competition. Fireworks went on for roughly 10 - 15 minutes. The sound was AWESOME! It was echoing in the hotel block like a war was going on. Artillery, Machine-Gun Fire and all :D

Nothing much happened today I guess.....

Woke up rather early, and the Bayrun thingy was huge! and loud....

I am not really sure but is it only 3 days till our Prelim 2? Sure doesn't feel like it. I haven't really been doing a lot to prepare for it. Totally haven't touched geography or SS yet. I am so going to get screwed.....

Late for school today lol. It was kind of an expected thing since I was really grinding the line between late and being on time for the past 2 weeks. Came back to class, panicked at the prospect of having to buy another calculator since it was not in class. Ran over to the Chemistry lab to look for it, thankfully it was there. Saved approximately 18 dollars :D

Wanted to play tennis in school during PE and many a people in my class brought their rackets. Turns out, lightning warning prevented it..... The rain came..... After an hour....

Came home when for tuition fro 5 to 10 lol

Playing Civlizations for the DS is really refreshing. Never really got around play Civ IV since I was busy playing Dawn of War around that time. It really got me interested in such strategic games that promote guile and have consequences impacted by ones actions :D Got to find time to play them. After 'O's

Played Civilizations for about 3 hours now. Can't do shit for diplomacy for the DS. Takes too long to take over another empire that you just tell yourself "fuck it" and rush their country with veteran knights lol

Did a lot of the EMaths SetB prelim papers today. If the 'O' Levels are going to be like that, how can people actually fail the tests - . - Of course, I was doing the questions on rough paper but still, minusing of presentation errors here and there, it's actually possible to get an average of 95% and above for every paper.

Now if I can do that, something is seriously wrong with the standards of the EMaths papers...

I have been sleeping kind of later for the past few days (including Thursday) coming to about 1 to 2 am before I hit the hay. Not really for studying, but more of staring at the computer trying the scavenge every bit of useless facts as I can. Just because I can HAHA. Productive would not be the word that I use to describe my studying behaviour. SS a little bit and I was a little shocked that I can actually remember the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary crap lol.

Yup, Singapore didn't get gold, which was kind of really expected. From the get go we were outclassed by China in every single aspect of the game. Considering that we were bound to lose sooner or later, it's little consolation that we lost by straight sets(I have no idea what's the proper Table-Tennis terminology is) . But I guess Silver is good enough. And comparing our population sizes 2 billion to 4 (or 6 million) we have 1 medal to China's (Guesstimation) of 70. Which is kind of good

And that our paddlers are prolly getting paid much, much more than the Chinese Athletes LOL

Had the English Language 'O' Level examinations this afternoon.

Despite having a surname that begins with C I was somehow pushed one class forward, resulting in me and of my other classmates to become the last 5 of the first group. Significance, we assembled at 2 P.M, I started my oral at around 4.10 P.M. That's the significance.

In that time span of a little over 2 hours, I developed a headache that is still going on, again, same as the Chinese Orals, spent with my head down and reading some crap. Crap it was, I read a little and started talking crap with my friends in the most faux accents you can ever find haha.

I just found out that I have one more thing to be thankful for. With my half-assed Chinese speaking skills, how I managed passing, let alone a distinction in oral was already a blessing in disguise. I did a Chinese composition today and I realised, I have no idea what the fuck I was writing :(

IPPT (No Idea what this is) exercise halfway through Chinese period. Basically slacked for over a period during the exercise. Talking cock with friends throughout. Seriously though, having an exercise in the event of a gas attack would be totally futile. This are the reasons

Poisonous Gas (ie Nerve Gas) basically kills us with even minute amounts

Our classroom is not exactly air tight

If the gas was dropped by plane, we would most likely think it to be a bomb and therefore evacuate to a enclosed underground area, where we are screwed by gas

Yeah...... Just woke up from a 3 hour nap. Kind of had to sleep off the disappointment

Got a B3 for Chinese with a Distinction in Oral. The setting in which the results were announced was really very kooky, the sound of raindrops in the background certainly was not a good case of foreshadowing.

Almost everyone, including me, was visibly disappointed with their results. Not really sure but our class had what, 7A1s 3 A2s, 16 or 17 B3s and 3 Cs. I am pretty sure that the disappointment was not because a lot of us had B3s but rather, as some who more or less had a shoe in for an A were freaking shocked of the results.

Can't say that I am particularly happy with a B3, was really hoping for that A1 to be a flagship towards my 'O' Levels. That said, in places other than fairyland, miracles do NOT happen. Guess it's really more of a reflection on what we put into our work haha

Now, after proverbially mourning since 1115. I guess, more than enough time has been spent wallowing in self-pity. Being (mostly) an optimist, I have learned that I MUST show frustration before I can look and reflect. Enough Said. Let's look at the good points (I am basically pulling this crap out of my ass)

Having a B3 means less time wondering whether I should retake
Retaking means I can be more in touch with the Chinese Language (Told you I was pulling crap)
A lesson in life: Results are a reflection of the work put in
There's a chance to push up my grades at the end of the year :D
A distinction in Oral means that the paper that cannot be retaken is well done and passed

Not going to harp on the bad points. The only feasible ones I can think of are

Bought examination notes for Physics, Chemistry and Bio yesterday. It's pretty scary to see my stack of notes compressed into that small little rectangular book that I swear can fit into the pockets of one of my pants. Saw Chayadi using them a few days ago, finally gotten around to walking over to Popular to get it yesterday. Pretty much all of the stuff is covered in there, a little nudge here and there in some places, more than enough to spark your memory and shove some coal into my proverbial train of thought haha.

As per the past 4 years, I think I will only actually hear the National Day Song (THE song, not a song. I only heard the theme song on the bus today, the first time ever, didn't really listen to the music because I was rushing to get off the bus lol.

Speaking of Bus Rides, today I was really suay until cannot suay already la. After GEP, waiting for a bus to come buy for quite long. A 28 came first so I just got onto it. 2 Bus-Stops later, a bus 93 just overtook the bus 28 and stopped infront of us. I half-wanted to get off 28 and onto 93 since the bus journey would be a little shorter. The bus was so close yet so far, it was one step ahead of us all the way :(

At the T-Junction before Bartley Road (I think), the 93 turned left while we journeyed forward. Saw a bus 8 coming from the right. "YAY" I thought but then..... RED LIGHT!!! OMG!!! And then the bus 8 just kept going..... :(

Happier note on the buses would be that before Physics GEP, went to Serangoon to eat Macs, while walking back to the interchange after our lunch. I saw, in the distance, a bus, not really knowing what it is I said "If that's Bus 158, I will laugh la"

Then Jared went "EH! 158 leh!"

The whole lot of us started running and I was caught holding a large coke in my right hand and the McDonald's trophy thingy on my left...... Luckily, we were all able to get on the bus, if not, from what I know. 158 is a bitch to wait for :D

Kind of nothing we've never seen before, the 2007 paper was okay, difficulty wise I would have to say the 2005 paper is the hardest seeing as I don't really know what the hell they are asking for HAHA

Sometimes, things are just fucked up

Headaches are becoming more and more frequent. Good (or bad) thing is that while they are coming more quickly, they seem to go away as quickly as well. So that means I can have more time for breaks HAHA

Played Team Fortress 2 while "relaxing".I seem to have gotten really good when I am playing a Pyro it seems, no idea why. Even without the 50 HP bonus of the backburner, I seem to have really improved when I am using the regular ol' flamethrower. Hmm, not trying to brag or anything because, I have always sucked at using the Pyro so the bar is pretty low lol

Went to the SAJC open house today with Daniel and Jia Hao. Made the decision yesterday after WL sms-ed us(we had no prior knowledge of the event). Original decision was to meet at my house before taking a direct bus to SAJC which would have been like only 6 or 7 bus stops away. Jia Hao then went to Kallang MRT to meet with Daniel who's mother was going to fetch them there......... They left at 1100.... I left my place at around 1145...... I reached the place 15 minutes before them - . -

GPS was invented for a reason, not that we use it but, some people really, really need it :D

School was boring today. Though it was slack Thursday again, the lab lessons are getting more and more boring. There was no Bio Practical today, which really sucked because it became a Bio theory lesson and I have no idea what in the world are the differences in the whole of the genes thingy chapter thingy thingy. Have to go read up on it again I guess.

Highlight of the day: Mark Koh almost burned down the Chemistry lab HAHA. Okay, maybe a little hyperbole being indulged here but you got the point. Must have been a gas leak somewhere(most probably not because of this) or that someone did not tighten the rubber nozzle. I suspect the latter since it's actually quite easy (not to mention fun) to tug on the rubber tubing when you are bored :D

The funny thing was not that(it can be funny because no one got hurt) , when it happened our Chem teacher just went "What's that" and ran to put out the fire with the cloth. All of us just stood there watching that huge ass fire (huge-ass fire not huge ass-fire) raging on. Nonchalantly we just stood there, watching the blazing tongues of flames lapping, while we were all (trying) to bubble CO2 into the bloody limewater. We just stood there, seriously. Mark Koh was like less than a meter away and staring, none of us did anything except Andre L who just took a beaker(?) and threw water at the fire before expressionlessly walking back. Panic-ing people would have been funny to see, especially if someone ran out screaming. But we just stood there doing out own stuff. Weird

Impromptu decision to go to Jia Hao's house with Jared. Did my Chemistry whilst waiting for Jared to finish his pattern training...... Played a little after :D

Came home and started doing some Maths papers and playing a Pyro totally guilt-free

Reading Randy Pausch's "The Last Lecture" now, which is more or less a play-by-play of the lecture he gave, which can be easily found on Youtube. Only a little bit through, but the book's very inspiring and touches on several very important yet easily overlooked issues. Nothing much to say about this, just watch in on Youtube, you won't regret it.

I have been doing Chemistry for 3 days straight lol, and after almost a year and 8 months in, have I actually begun to have some degree of confidence in my answers when I am penning them down. Instead of just copying and pasting the entire chunk of whatever that is relevant(sometimes not), I can now actually be a little more straightforward and to the point. Not really being helped by the sometimes hopelessly wrong answers but, sooner or later :D

Bonus: It's got a level where you're swarmed by hundreds of harmless Dr. Kleiner clones. In terms of sheer guilty pleasure, it's hard to top a burly brawl against hordes of elderly pacifists.

School was alright, SRJC's Principal came and talked a little. Quite okay I guess, but you know that my classmates were just talking about weird stuff like, his shoes are shiny, the ants are pulling dust across the floor. Motivational speaker came and talked for supposedly 15 minutes extended to half an hour. At least he was entertaining lol.

Got a little pissed offed with how my e-mail's inbox is getting too bloody filled up, realised that...... Getting and registering a read on every single unread e-mail is just too fucking tedious. It's just wasting too much bloody time.

Only now did realise that Demigod is being made by Gas Powered Games. Now I am seriously looking forward to it. Why must all the good games come out in in the next few coming months dammit. 'O' Levels :( The only thing I can hope for is for the framerate to hold up in the Epic-ness, Supreme Commander kinda became a lagfest after awhile. Optimisation, we can all hope for it.

"Half-Day' at school today. Mass in the morning, our class couldn't sit at the podium level, which sucked. Mass was weird because I couldn't really understand anything, or even hear anything. Started talking to Conan about 'O' Level stuff while whiling the time away. Jared was estimating when it was along the timeline to the end.

Maths lesson after that, got back my Area Under Graph and Kinematics base test. 20.5/25...... So many careless mistakes la lol. That makes it my 4th or 5th 20+ for AMaths this year, which is kinda of a HUGE improvement over last year, considering that I got 10........................ out of 100 :P

Physics Mock Test on Electricity and Magnetism. Didn't really study much for it, luckily the paper was manageable, which was reflected by how 3/4 of the class was done by around 0915 when the paper was supposed to end at 0945.

Went home, changed, went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to watch The Dark Knight. We reached there around 11.10 and the queue looked rather long, we waited till like 1135 before we got our tickets, seemed like there was only one person manning the counter. Dropped my handphone :(

This was the first theater I have ever seen that was so empty, all in all, there was like 20 people there MAX. Considering The Dark Knight is more or less the must see show of 2008 and the movie had just premiered a few days before, it's very strange that the theater was very, very empty.

The movie rocked. Alot. Heath Ledget's portrayal as the Joker was just amazing....

Not really caring for the Final Fantasy series now, at least the modern iterations of FF. Chinese Listening Comprehension
On a whole, hell lot harder than what we have been practicing for the past few days, where we could easily spot the points and get full marks if we have everything prepared. The Listening Comprehension for 2008 well..... Not really as clear cut, good news is, most of the class's answers are around the same, save for questions 3 and 5, where it's really how we intepret it or what. (Yes I screwed up question 3 dammit) So far, confirmed kill, question 3. Which leaves me a 9/10 - . -

I didn't really expect that the Chinese Listening Comprehensions would be broadcasted over the airwaves instead of a CD, wasn't really expecting something like that at all. White noises and whitewashes aside, wasn't really too bad. However, the 'musical interlude' from the radio station almost knocked me out..... Not really good to dull your senses before an exam where listening and alertness is key.

Yes. And everyone in our class was not reall taking the thing seriously until 15 minutes before the paper. Shan't elaborate

Watching the Miss Universe 2008 rerun on Hallmark now. The question and answer thingy was just weird and funny :D. I think 3(could be 4) out of 5 of them started with Xin Chao Vietname, which was fine if you were the first one saying it, but just plain awkward when 2 people before you have done it. You could just hear the applause and howling dying down with each subsequent use of their language. Win

Oh yeah. The question and answers. The person was asked something around whether it is easier to be a man or woman in life. The Miss Universe 2008 said that, men prefer to take the shorter path and go in a straight line whereas women prefer to "work the curves" and go in one round. Wow, totally no freaking idea how that helps gender equality or how it makes her sound less of a slut. You know, I was listening to that crazy version of the O2 Jam Tetris theme and I recalled the only reason why I actually got Tetris for my DS; to listen to the Tetris theme song. Ironically...... For some reason it feels extremely good to type on my desktop's keyboard all over again. The joy of a full-sized keyboard is only eclipsed by the revelation that yes, I have finally cleared any doubts that I have forgotten how to touch type. If only I could do it for every single keyboard I have, and will, encounter.

Problem is, most keyboards that I use other than this one, including the laptop, would have some degree of lag between the input on the keyboard and the output on the monitor. Taking monitor response time out of the picture, it's simply just that, I have also realised that my touch-typing style is a lot different from those I have seen. Simply put, normally people just pound away at their keyboard like some automated typewriter, with a tickety- tackity rhythm. For me, I just write each word out, as in, all the keys are pressed in a chunk, let's say for example now I am gonna press random keys ";aksjfn" something like that. Faster on words that alternate between vowels and either hand. Slower on words like zoo, don't ask why.

Super Digressing.

Not being knocked around the head by a headache was a slight relief, maybe I should adopt a newer sleeping position altogether. Anyway, with the headache gone, here comes the slight giddiness, listlessness and drowsiness.

Temperature taking today, was kind of surprised that my temperature was only only 36.6 degrees as when taken yesterday, it was over 38.0 degrees centigrade. Coupled with the fact that I was sweating my head off, 36.6 degrees seems a little low doesn't it. It worries me. I am pretty sure perspiring is a cooling process of the body ( don't bother correcting me) but for me to cool down, there must BE something for me to cool down.

Rain screws everything up in the morning. The amount of people late for school would be less than ideal, so much for lesser commuter traffic and such. Was late to school, which was actually not so bad seeing that names were not taken down due to the overwhelming scores of people coming after morning assembly started. Good thing was that I was actually standing under a ceiling fan for the duration of the morning assembly, which totally canceled out any chance of me sweating :D

We were supposed to bring our thermometers to school today, I did and, according to the record, most of our class did too. Form teacher did not come though so.... It's not really that reliable. Other classes did not get off that easily though. The mass detention scene was so totally weird.

SPA Skill 3 on Thursday. Got back a worksheet I did before, really have to buck up and write in those 2 words that bring the grade back to ground zero. Ms Goh's gonna be marking the paper, so surely we will have to pay special attention to each and every minute detail lest we get penalised. arrgh

55 Days left to Prelim 2. Tomorrow, it would be 54 days left, which, given the fact that we only have 6 subjects to study for (in a way) that makes 9 days for each subject. However, taking that I absolutely won't be studying for English at all(save some memory work for the formats) let's make it 54/55 days for each subject. Rounded up, that's 11 days per subject.

Nothing like a cold shower to keep my frustration down.

I didn't really do much work today again. Slacking too much. Picking up tomorrow though. Wake up at 8. Do whatever my 2 hands can lay on within the radius of 1 arms length from where I am now. That's actually saying a lot, given that all my work is actually within 1 or 2 arms length away for me. I pity my wrists tomorrow. Like a fool it will be pitied.

Again this is why there should be a set time for Mr Kwok to leave the school alone after morning assembly. Emphasis on after. During the morning assembly, sure, by all means, moral stories all around till 8. But after that he needs to shut the fuck up.

They have already reduced the time for each period by 5 minutes. It's a lot. Seriously, 5 minutes off and another 10-15 minutes off due to the ramblings of a wise man. That's a good 20 minutes off. Luckily today was English and I had finished all my work yesterday, but I still remember when it was SS for the first lesson, 20 minutes off, 15 minutes left. Only enough time to discuss 1 SEQ question. Where's the sense in that?

I think it's pretty clear that she's biased towards me. That's not professional. At all.

Headaches are becoming more and more common to me. I dunno if its because of the increased amount of sugar in my body since I have actually increased my sugar intake by eating a few packets (As in those huge packs) of sweets, bars upon bars of chocolate, soft drinks everywhere.

Hmm. Drinking a lot of water nowadays to counteract this as well as to cool myself down. Not really helping.

Had an AMaths test on Integration today. I totally did not do question 3b at all........ Forgot how to draw graphs, totally sucked and still sucking at graphs.

Was kinda dazed the whole day, I was actually just looking for my calculator while it was still in my hand. I need some sleep. Fast HAHA

Oh yeah. There was a Geography test today, needless to say, I screwed it up big time. Didn't even study for it at all, didn't know about it until it was like 2pm in the afternoon on Saturday and I was busy doing my Bio stuff. Can't even crap about stuff like I usually do, damn.

Luckily the rest of the day was pretty light stuff, no Maths today, the relief teacher came and turned OFF the fan. What kind of insane bugger turns off the fan in this hellish weather, totally brainless and unreasonable. After a while though, I think everyone else got used to the thing and we just felt the temperature somewhat 'normal'. I didn't even sweat much, which says a lot.

Chinese Listening Comprehension. I think everyone fucked it up. Note to self, never think too deep about the answers, see the most nonsensical and banal answer, it's most likely it. Which is totally weird, and dumb and kinda screwed up.

MARIST YOUTH DAY

Went to school a little earlier. Saw some of my classmates putting up the newspapers along the windows, which really.... didn't make the room any darker. At all. Then they put raffia string all across the classroom, trying to make a obstacle course of sorts.

Of course, the course and newspapers was just for show. And, soon as the thing started, doors closed, close movie screening haha. While the rest of my classmates were in the classroom watching a movie, I was (trying) to play Team Fortress 2 with a crappy internet connection lol. Imagine this: Fire your rocket. A 1 second lag. Screen freezes. You got killed by a Medic. WTF!

Went to 3F to play Narutimate. Best 1 dollar ever spent HAHA
Played NA with some of my friends, can't believe I almost lost to SS :(. I think I messed up and deteriorated a lot, didn't lose a match though, so that's kinda gay. Finally proved that Konohamaru isn't weak by winning Shingster haha. Oh. And murdered some newcomers, but I let them play twice, so it's okay HAHA

I can't believe we only raised 17 dollars HAHA. Little wonder since we actually chased away customers, great business plan, really, keep them wanting more HAHA. Either way, not that we would have donated more or less anyway, I suppose more than 3/4 of the school did not buy additional tickets, so the base amount would remain the same, more or less haha.

Chinese Orals after that, can't say much about it. Was rather nervous while waiting. I did not know 3 or 4 words from the passage so I just skipped over them. Thing that made me nervous was that, from where I was sitting while waiting, the examiners did not look at them for most of the thing. However, in my case, I could see, in the corner of my eye, that they were both actually staring at me during my passage reading, which, of course, caused me to be rather nervous. Funny thing was that, during the reading of the passage, I saw a pencil falling off one of their tables. Without stopping my reading, I just jabbed out and grabbed the pencil in mid-air, placed the pencil on the table and continued reading HAHA

Because of that, the examiner asked me if I did any martial arts and we ended up talking about Aikido for a while lol. Talked a lot of crap for conversation lol, cracked a few jokes just to lighten up the mood and talked about some feelings and stuff HAHAHA

Oh My. Shagged Out.

School was okay I guess, not too intensive nor too slacky.

Had SS first, everyone was (relatively) quiet today, same for English (shocker), which really let the thought that everyone has already begun to feel the first few burns of the fact that the 'O' Levels are so bloody close. Still, it comes as a relief that not everyone is really chionging and at least trying to have some fun instead of becoming a reclusive bastard who hisses whenever anyone gets close. Well, maybe not yet.

Point is, I keep having the feeling that, as of now, I am just not doing enough, to try and close the gap most have ahead of me. Should I pick up the pace slowly or rush to them? Pros and cons to each. If I were to choose to quicken the pace by a small amount, I would have enough to last in the long run, which is a good thing for my mental health but it might run the risk that I may not put in enough effort and cause me to lose out in the end. If I were to rush, sure I would be able to chase everyone down with a lot less time, but again, I am not sure my mind and body can adjust to such a drastic change or whether or not I am able to handle all of it, or ultimately crash and burn. Adding to the fact that due to my extremely short attention span, I WILL actually get friggin bored and my mind will just shut off immediately. Heh. Kind of in the shitter right now.

The Pyros are now......... SO FREAKING POWERFUL!

Haven't really got a very good feel for the Pyro after the update.... It's really cool though, screwing the enemies up with that air compression blast brings a weird smile to my face. No weapons unlocked yet though, thinking of laying of Team Fortress 2 for awhile while the Pyro-mania continues to rage on and burn out. THEN I will play, without half the teams being filled with Pyros.

On the side note, you can play Team Fortress 2 for free over the weekend. 20-22 June, American timing, I guess :D

There's a Physics test tomorrow, not much I can prepare I guess

Stuff I did included, doing some of the TYS questions, reading the Textbook (didn't do much) memorised some of my Physics facts. Not too bad, considering that while the Light was the first chapter we learned during Sec 3, Light has been my worse chapter, after Electricity that is.

Warmed up (no pun intended) my Pyro before tomorrow. Quite okay with him(her?) I guess, though the maps seem to have a lot to do with my performance as a Pyro.... Open spaces, strangely a lot better than the Pyro's intended purpose of being an ambush class in an enclosed space. With wide open spaces, I mean, only wide open spaces with multiple points of entry........ Hmmmmm mmmpphhh

Slept at 0530. After watching the France/Italy match. Stayed up till quite late/early to discuss the probabilities of everything being possible in the end with a certain someone. It was pretty much a clash of ideals and reasons, meaning that no definite conclusion could be reached haha

Woke up at 2 pm haha. Enough hours of sleep I think. Had a splitting headache throughout the day and night. Did the Physics worksheets, left with one more Section B and Section C before I finished. In the process of doing so, I managed to clear many doubts on the various chapters. Except Electricity, which I still suck in haha.

It rained the whole day (mostly) which was pretty cool (literally and not)

Yes! FINALLY!
The one yesterday was for the second last level of Elite Beat Agents. This one was for the penultimate level of EBA, as you can see from the vast score difference, this one was a hell lot more difficult to achieve. Nonetheless, after the crazy day of trying to get the S-Rank, perseverance finally prevails haha. Actually, I only finished the stage 3 times, with the last one being the one shown in the picture there. In actually, beyond all technicalities, I think I played the stage more than 20 times haha, but everytime I felt that I hit one too many 100s, I just pressed "start" and "Repetir". My version is Spanish. Don't ask why

Went with my family to my bro's dental stuff, ate at Equinox for lunch, nice view from the highest building in Singapore (guessing here), an even better view than the 20 minute roundabout known as the "Singapore Flyer". My parents paid of course.

Dunno why, but the day seemed so much like a weekend haha.

My S-Rank on "Without a Fight" is GONE! Replaced with an A-rank it has.... I had all perfects until the 3rd or 4th last note...... Stupid bumps on the bus... Then, because I missed one, it overwrote my previous S-rank which was of a lower score but did not contain any misses at all......... AARGH!

It's actually difficult to fathom that I have just played MapleStory for 3 hours...... AND GOTTEN TO LEVEL 70 HAHA! In almost every game (ALMOST) I will get very excited and fully immerse myself in it, finding every single tip and trick to be on the top of my game, subsequently, having learned and explored the nooks and crannies of said game, boredom and repition starts to set in ending in me totally losing interest in the product. Such was MapleStory, fun for a while till the grind became so unbearable that I wished it were on a console so that I could at least feel the rumble-feedback when whacking that bloody monster for the nth time in the row.

Not with the private servers I guess........... Developers must already know that any game that has you beating on woodland animals for 40 levels isn't exactly the best representation of fun. Getting that headgear at the start that adds 999 to all stats (seriously WHAAAA!?) jolts everyone to some godlike level and killing Bains at level 50 (in 2 hours or so) was really satisfying. An added benefit of this would be seeing the end-game content sooner, which, in most cases, IS the main course. The months (or years) spent was just the appetizer. WoW does the same thing, with raids and epic gear at 60 (or 70 now, going to 80). Adding to that, it is a hell of a lot more fun to beat on Werewolves and demonic dogs then on trees. Seriously

At the moment, only good things to be taken away from this:

NO GRINDING
Seeing more things faster means it will be a shorter time before I reach saturation point. And I guesstimate it to be in 4 more days

On the way there, realised that on an MRT train on the green line, me actually finding a seat to sit down on rarely (see: never) happens. AND, for the first time in x years (See again: never) I actually found a seat to sit down. Yay :D

Friday the 13th. AGAIN! It has finally lost it's mystique lol.

Haiz.......... Everyone went to the PC show. My Dad went there twice already. My mum went today. They brought back the brochures, flyers and whatnot, seems like not much this time around.... The laptops have some kind of promotions, though the price difference isn't really that much. Also, I just have to wait......... New processors........ With non-overheating 8800 GTX cards.......... Just 6 more months....... Which........ Conincides with the END of the 'O' LEVELS :D

I finally found out what was causing the (self-named) mouse tearing when using my Deathadder. Apparently, it canNOT only be remedied by going to an empty server (which sounds dumb in retrospect). Turns out, the mouse lag was due to the polling rate of the mouse, which proved too high for this humble Vaio. So I lowered the polling rate to 125 Hz and voila, instant non-laggy gameplay haha! Now, to make sure I do not keep making my hand touch the windows key when sniping.....

Slept in til quite late lol. Slept even more in the afternoon. Did A Maths and Biology revision. I can't believe I missed out on so many points when doing the TYS questions. Dammit. No wonder I can never get the full marks for questions haiz....

YAY! Gameplay footage!!!
Oh yeah. In case anyone doesn't know, Warhammer 40K was a milestone in my gaming life, in the sense that, it was the first game I got for my new rig when I was in P6 or something. As such, being one of the only games I had in a long time, I played it to death. I missed out on Far Cry and other games due to my Pentium 3 computer back in the day so, I could start to play games other than CS that didn't suck ass haha.

Went to Marina Square. Fought Jia Hao in JUS, won all my matches when I was using my 2 favourite decks. Kept tying with him when I was using my joke decks...... And he seems to have the knack of winning me in sudden death. But even then, it was still a toss-up. So.......... :D

Played Mario Kart too. This. No Contest at all HAHA. Jia Hao and Wan Ling need to improve. Alot. Come on........ 2 Blue Shells and 3 Orange ones..... AND STILL HALF A LAP BEHIND! For the Lulz

Watch Kung Fu Panda. Great show. Does not suck.
The movie was a little short though. The training scenes were funny and Jack Black's comedic timing's priceless.

Oh! There was something going on. Right behind us were these two kids, couldn't have been more than 5 years of age. They actually leaned forward ONTO my and wl's chair lol. Had our last lessons of the holidays, and after this, we all have 2 more weeks to do what we want. I think I have a a clear plan of what I want to do during the holidays already haha.

Wake up after 8am everyday. To make up for all the hours of sleep I have lost
Go for a jog in the morning
Study as much as humanly possible while at the same time-
Try to strike a balance between work and play, leaning more on the work part
Finally, try to find crap that I have lost and make it un-crappy

Pretty generic crap I guess. Just hope that I can stick and adhere to these 4 simple tasks over two weeks haha. The first one is no-hassle, since it's auto one lol. The second, would be having to wake up after 8 and then go for a jog. Quite clearly, the last two would be the most difficult to try to achieve given my overly need to put everything off haha. My procrastinating nature has already cost me more than enough. Now's the time to change it.

The last one is there because..... I just have to do it. Somewhere along the line :D

School ended early. Mr Kan, being a good sport, let the class off early after out E.M.I test. Keith, SS, Mark Koh and I wanted to take a bus to Heartland Mall but, we saw a cab along the way and decided to cab to the bowling alley haha. We actually reached the place at 1040 hours, the supposed time of our release from school HAHA. AND. We only had to pay a dollar plus each HAHA. I think that would have been cheaper than if we were to take a bus and then a train, though I am not really sure about how much it costs to ride a train now HAHA.

The bowling alley was more or less empty, which was a first for me haha. Except for the scant few playing there, the place was too empty IMO HAHA. Played 5 games today. Took me quite a while to understand what Mark was teaching me lol. Then I started to cock up haha. Damn funny la. 5 frames I was 93 points, I ended with 120 points for that game. That's how weird it was lol.

OMG. I think I have a fever.......... Not really confirmed yet, since I can't find my thermometer anywhere, but all the signs seem to be there. Headache, a warm forehead, smell air as some fever medicine or something. Hmm

Seems like many people are falling ill these few days (wow am I late in saying this). Fever being one of the most outstanding cases of them taking a leave of absence it seems. Sucks to be sick during the "holidays" quote quote. Even if there are lessons, the feeling just sucks the fun out of everything, the headache makes things spin and I can't even talk fast anymore. Bleh

Have I ever mentioned what a nausea-fest playing Team Fortress 2 on this lappy is before?
OHOH! I found a way to stop the stuttering and screen tearing when using my USB mouse to play lol. Previously, whenever my Deathadder turned, the screen jerks around, problem is, when using the trackpad (which btw, should never be used to play games. Ever) it runs smooth as silk. So it was certainly not a case of the hardware sucking.

Tried various ways to remedy the problem. Finally arrived at a stupid way, first connect to an empty server before going to another server. TADA! That's it! Smooth gameplay LOL!

Jia Hao is PMS-ing over the uncertain prospect of Ninja Gaiden 3. He has to learn to wait for stuff - . - I waited years for Team Fortress 2 and Half-Life 2......

Wow. It is kinda late now lol. I have been out almost the entire day, retiring the day in Chayadi’s house with Jia Hao, Andre L, Sean Teh, Jun Khai and DOOM BLAST MAN (SS). Just watched 300 (most of it anyway) and we are kinda messing around(Not in a sick way) in the room right now.... Jia Hao is doing weird stuff in the room right now haha. Guess it’s really just the madness of the night haha.

Started the day waking up freaking early (for a Saturday), went to Marine Parade library at 9am..... And the place fucking opens at 10 am...... Being the impatient person that I am, went to Burger King to finish my tuition detention.... Took almost (1350-0930) = 3 hours and 40 minutes la..... After that, the sky got DARK and I couldn’t take a bus to this who’s house. Luckily, my Dad was free and could fetch me there YAY!

STUDIED :D

Watched Indiana Jones. Was alright. Just that the 10 minutes was one of the most enjoyable moments in a film. EVER!

Kooky ending non-withstanding, the end of the movie had direct relevance to SS....... With the High Foreheads and the bright light shining, even the burning of the eyes was visual representation of the awe and magnificence of the Sun rising in the horizon... :D

Feeling extremely shagged today.

After coming back from school, it seemed like I had all the energy in me being sapped away by some unknown force. Maybe it is Absolute Zero - . - But anyways, time slowed down again and 5 minutes felt like 5 hours at some times. Also, at the rate I am drinking Ribena, my blood sugar levels are probably skyrocketing with only the large input of insulin able to stop me from turning in HYPER LEON! OK. That's all I learned from the chapter on Hormones. Seriously lol. Diabetes Mellitus and the Insulun and Glucagon crap. That's all I can recall......

Q: What superpower would you like to have and why?
A: I'd like the power to evoke rational judgment upon the masses. If that's not cool enough, then I'd have to go with teleportation. If you had asked me this when gas was only $2 a gallon, I would've chosen something cooler like super strength.
